Our Inclusive Digital Transformation Model

Creating an adaptive system to support equity of access to digitally enabled health and care.

The problem of digital exclusion is often talked about solely in the context of people not being online. Within the context of health and care, we need to broaden our scope to understand the role that digital plays in enabling people to access and engage with different health and care services and pathways.

Simply supporting someone to get online isn’t enough, we need to make sure the services they need to access and engage with are inclusive and accessible too.

Therefore, we need to address two questions:

  1. How do we support people to access the resources needed to be able to access and engage with digitally enabled health and care?

  2. How do we design health and care services to enable informed, safe and equitable access for people where digital plays a role?
